Green Doug Fir Dimension
Swanson Group operates two dimensional sawmills in Glendale and Noti, Oregon. The mills are similar in product mix with both cutting heavy to 2x4 and 2x6 but with the capacity to make 2x8 and 2x10 also. Glendale is an 8’ to 20’ mill while Noti can make up to 24’. Glendale also makes some railroad ties.
The combined production capacity for the two mills is close to 500 MMBF when running full shifts. Both mills carry the WWPA grade stamp and all production is anti-stain treated to guard and protect against mold and discoloration. All the lumber is end painted with a distinctive red paint and a green Swanson Group side stencil clearly identifies the lumber as it moves from our mill to your yard to your builder’s job site.
All of our dimension lumber also carries the SFI certification stamp located on each piece near the WWPA grade stamp. We have met the criteria from SFI to be certified in Fiber Sourcing.
